Tell us about yourself, your background and what you do currently

I am Founder of Art Beat and Co-Founder of Paint Bar. I am self-taught artist, and marketing graduate from Christ University, I have redefined the city’s interest in hand-made art at the age of 24. While I have been drawing since she was nine years old, i took to the brush more seriously at 18. At 21, i was running a full-fledged online marketplace promoting affordable, customized art.

Since then, there has been no looking back. Today, I create just about anything – cartoon-themed Save the Date cards, 3D fixtures and art installations, hand-painted logos – and that’s just scratching the surface. I also manage Paint Bar, a series of weekend workshops that gives everyone a chance to take home a beautiful painting.

I begun selling my work to patrons across the country, and hopes to open a stand-alone store very soon.

Tell us about any current projects or initiatives you wish to promote

Currently, I am working with my partner of Paint Bar – my second company to do a lot more painting workshops. This includes corporate events as well. Apart from that – Im working on painting a 25ft wall, and on a lot of other wall murals in Bangalore.

What has been your biggest challenge in achieving your success?

My main idea was to make sure that art can be used in everyday life and can be added to utility products. Designing products with art that can be liked by everyone was quite challenging in the beginning.

What has been your greatest achievement personally?

Working on the OnePlus India’s head office wall. It was a huge step and taught me a lot. Apart from that – Working on Runnr’s wall décor. I did art there that I thought I could never execute. However, It all turned out amazing!

If you weren’t doing what you do now, what would you be doing?

In the corporate life – in Human Resources, for sure!

Who has been your biggest inspiration?

Anyone who works hard in doing whatever it is they are doing – always inspires me. I want to work hard and achieve all goals.

What does the future hold for you?

I aim at opening a store sometime, or expanding my online base. Either one would be great. Apart from that – more wall murals, and installations.
