Tell us about yourself, your background and what you do currently

I am a Chartered Accountant by profession and the CEO and Managing Director of KGS Advisors, we mainly provide advisory services to SMEs and Start-ups in India as well as foreign companies looking to establish presence in India. Apart from that I am actively involved into tasks related to women empowerment and social upliftment of women and various other engagements for the betterment of the environment and humanity.

Being a woman, i was  well aware of the difficulties and hardships that are faced by women in society, that’s why I applied My strength, intellect, creativity along with my immaculate experience to formulate programmes such as QueensXI Cricket League, Rasoi Queen and Womennovator series that act as incredible women empowerment platforms. Through QueensXI Cricket League an idea of Beti Khelao along with Beti Bachao and Beti Padhao comes into existence. Similarly, the Rasoi Queen series, allows women to showcase their culinary skills and serve their talent to the world on a platter. Initiative of Womennovator is all set to bring out some unrecognized women innovator faces that are working diligently in their own fields and creating opportunities for others as well, in the limelight.

I have curated and  managed various startup workshops with International institutions like MIT, Uchicago etc and summits that have catered right resources and funds to the startups of India.

I strongly believe in environmental conservation and philanthropy which led to the foundation of Gvriksh, which is a non-profit organization which promotes tree plantation and environmental conservation.

I am also the Founding Chairperson of Confederation of Women Entrepreneur for Delhi chapter, which is an organization that promotes women entrepreneurs and aids them to achieve great success in their fields.

I have recently curated the women entrepreneurship committee of PHD chambers of Commerce PHDCCI.

What has been your biggest challenge in achieving your success?

My biggest challenge has been calling out on the limiting beliefs that I had about myself. The very first step that I took was to differentiate between who I am and the limiting beliefs that I had. It completely changed my life and put me on the path to success. Being aware of your thoughts not only lets you understand your true power but also aligns unexpected opportunities your way that compliments well with your strengths and your understanding of self.

What has been your greatest achievement personally?

Overcoming my biggest challenge has been my biggest achievement personally. Being aware of your own thoughts is something that only you can do. Fuelling your mind with powerful thoughts is something no one can ever take away from you. And that’s what has been my biggest achievement personally.

If you weren’t doing what you do now, what would you be doing?

If not that , I Would have surely become a Journalist (Reporting Criminal cases) or Investigating Officer or Secret agent to ensure that I serve my country.

Who has been your biggest inspiration?

My biggest inspiration has been the support of my father-in-law Mr. Vinod Somani who has immense faith in me and always pushes me to take a step further to reach greater heights and get ahead in my work. Also, Sadhguru Saddhi is another person that I listen to or read Robert Kiyosaki’s book ‘Rich Dad Poor Dad’ whenever I need a dose of positivity and inspiration. To reach where I am would have not been possible without my husband and unlimited smile from 3 year old daughter.

What does the future hold for you?

I believe to be involved in various projects which can make India as first choice for procuring high manufacturing technology and education.
