Tell us about yourself, your background and what you do currently

A fitness enthusiast and always have been passionate about fitness in a functional way. Since my childhood, my inclination was always into fitness led sports and fortunately, I am in the profession which also happens to be my passion. Currently, I am the Head Coach and COO at India’s fastest growing Functional Fitness studio, ‘MultiFit’. I have studied BTEC National Diploma Level 3 in Sport & Exercise Science in the UK. I am also REPs Personal Training Level 3 certified, again from UK. I come from an extensive corporate background with almost 10 years’ experience at Bank of New York Mellon.

I wanted to break the myth that fitness could only be achieved through traditional gyms which have their presence worldwide. With the emergence of Functional Fitness, it is the best and the healthiest way to workout, study proves it too as well as today’s fitness enthusiasts agree and have started to follow it. I believe that having toned bodies is good and should be acceptable till some extent, but having flexibility in our bodies is the real test. Unless we have that earned, no matter how good we look, if we don’t work out in a specific way as required for our own body and our bodies would sadly give up one day. Therefore, it is very important to understand ones’ inner strength and pursue to being a fitter you.

Tell us about any current projects or initiatives you wish to promote

Having trained people across the world, I am amazed with the knowledge gap I see between people I train in India – some are exceptionally good in their understanding on fitness and some don’t understand it at all. Currently, I am training a good number of people who had no concrete knowledge about actual fitness before they joined MultiFit. They are very enthusiastic people and want to make a difference in their fitness levels. Each one of them is a big project for me. My training is based on a mix of Functional fitness and weight training and of course, it understands ones’ inner strength.
