Tell us about the company you have set up – when did you set it up, what products or services do you provide, what is your target market?

Secret Dresser is a platform for buying and selling pre-owned Luxury products, everything from Premium Indian designer wear like Sabhyasachi, Anjalee Arjun kapoor to watches, bags, shoes, jackets by international designers like Louis Vuitton, Dior, Karen Millen,Ted baker. Anyone can buy and sell through the portal. Only after proper authentication and evaluation the products are listed on the portal at much discounted prices. It is all about sharing resources, the main Idea is to increase the rotation of the products that will ultimately help save resources of our planet. Also it will help people buy authentic luxurious clothing at a minimal price range saving their money and time on searching for lookalikes of original branded clothes which are hard to find.

Why did you set up the company? / What drove you to become an Entrepreneur?

The Idea was conceived from my own collection, the exquisite Indian outfits that sometimes took months to be made by the best Indian designers, barely worn once with utmost care and some never worn lay hanging in the closet, you got to do something about them, so what’s better than sharing. And as for bags and accessories, similar concept has been prevalent abroad from quite some time and is very much well accepted across the globe.

What has been your biggest challenge in achieving your success?

Every startup comes with a set of challenges of its own. A new venture never comes easy. For us it was mostly about introducing something very new in the market – e-commerce is very new and so is pre-owned luxury segment. An entrepreneur has to face rigidity at every step, but I believe it’s necessary to climb that ladder step by step in order to reach the top – only those who believe in themselves and learn to be better from every experience are the ones who make it there. I truly believe that challenges are good – they make you work harder & there is nothing that cannot be done over with hard work and dedication.

What has been your greatest achievement so far?

Every day is an achievement for the business. However, I believe the best is yet to come…

Who has been your biggest inspiration?

I get inspired by the wonders of nature around me everyday, it mesmerises me to no limit. However, in person, my sole inspiration is MA, I always say that I am a reflection of all that MA is. One thing in particular I remember hearing from her everyday from my childhood is that “I will make sure that there is nothing that you can’t learn or do” & “there is always a way, you just gotta find it”. Roots of everything that I do today , definitely come from her.

How do you balance your work life and home life?

Being organised and good time management skills.

What advice do you have for women starting out on their own?

Always believe in yourself and know that you are truly special. Also there is nothing that a woman can’t do as they have a privilege by nature, only they can be hardcore tough & nurturing soft at the same time.

What does the future hold for you?

I only plan on working to best of my ability today and be better of me each day. Let’s wait and watch what future has for me…
