poornima-parameswaran-batish-featuredAfter my graduation in Economics ( Lady Shri Ram College) and my MBA in HR ( Symbiosis), I worked in the corporate sector for 16 years in Human Resources. My last corporate role was with IBM India as Associate Director Talent for India/SA. During my career, I have done extensive work in the space of gender diversity & inclusion and also consulting. While I was doing such consulting, I discovered in conversations with many women that inspite of all the conversations about gender diversity, we did not have the right enablers to help women continue or join back the workforce. There was no singular place or platform which an urban educated woman can access to know about all that she wants to stay or return to the workforce. Thus was born Woman At Work, which I founded in July 2015 to be India’s first magazine and platform that looks at a woman professional sans all her roles, just as an individual.
