I am an award-winning author based at Chandigarh. Being a fun-loving person who just follows her heart, I live life bindaaas uncaring for the world but, yes, if troubled unnecessarily, I do not spare anyone either. Belonging to an army family, I am inclined to also follow rules strictly but also believe in breaking them once in a while. Putting all that together, you can define me as a carefree, no nonsense but zombie kind of an author!
Tell us about any current projects you are working on
It’s been a year since my second book ‘Crossroads’ was released and since it’s been flourishing, there has been a demand to translate it into Hindi. So now my focus is to release the Hindi version in the market as soon as possible. In addition, I freelance for a wide clientele globally and am also working as the corporate head of a company.
What has been your biggest challenge in achieving your success?
I would not call myself successful at all but yes I have tried to create a niche for myself. The biggest challenge I faced was gathering a readership for my work in this highly competitive field but if you are honest, dedicated and true, and your work is simply written and touches a chord, people will pick up your stuff. God has been kind and due to apt marketing and word of mouth, my books have reached far and wide. I remain grateful and humbled.
What has been your greatest achievement personally?
Being an epileptic since birth, under constant heavy medication, it has been a real challenge for me for to even be featured on Wikipedia…a feat by itself. Once again, I thank God, my family and well wishers for their undeterred support.
If you weren’t doing what you do now, what would you be doing?
Well maybe acting in a daily soap as i am a movie and TV fan!
Who has been your biggest inspiration?
Inspirations come and go and help you evolve each time but lately my idol is Navin Gulia who has reached dizzy heights overcoming his disabilities and sending the message home that anything is possible. If he can, then why not us?
What does the future hold for you?
I don’t know. I take each day as it comes as we never know what twists and turns are lying in wait. I have surrendered myself to God. Where He wills I shall flow along and live now. ‘Kal ho na ho’
About Preeti Singh
Putting it simply, I am a simple down to earth person who can be reached for anyone who wishes any professional help with writing or editing. I have struggled to make a place for myself, so understand the grind well and am always ready to help. Often if invited and sponsored, I can be there to help to promote your products, books etc. Simply saying, I am a call away if anyone needs any professional help, as long as it’s an honest plea with no ulterior motive. I believe, Karma always returns so, sow good and reap good, do bad and it shall return tenfold. It’s as simple as that!
