Inspirational Woman: Aanchal Saini | CEO & Co-Founder, Rent It Bae

Aanchal Saini featured

Aanchal SainiI grew up in a liberal family, which was the biggest fodder to my ambitious self.

I was always a high achiever in school and was always a good debater so went on to study law. I had never been comfortable in settling anywhere and was always looking for something more, I felt I wanted to push my limits to reach my highest potential and with that thought became a founding member of DIAC as mentioned before.

I was happily practicing law but I always felt a void, soon I realised it came from my deep desire of having my own fashion company. This dream found its roots when I was a 7 year old kid and loved playing dress up, little did I know that the girl from then still wanted me to take the leap of faith and give the world a chance to play dress up and that brought me to RENTITBAE.

This company is not just a dream, it is a statement which yells that if you want something there’s no force in the world that can stop you from getting it, even if it is your desire to wear a high end designer label and look your absolute best.

Introduction: Tell us about yourself, your background and what you do currently.

I am the CEO & head of business. I have been the stellar force behind spawning & conceptualization of RENT IT BAE. I am responsible for running all the facets of business right from procurement to business development. I was a practicing lawyer & was one of the founding members of the Delhi International Arbitration Centre, Delhi High Court before I started my dream venture.

Tell us about any current projects or initiatives you wish to promote.

I am in full swing involved with the fashion tech business RENT IT BAE at the moment. And we are the first in the country to launch the monthly fashion subscription I call it the Netflix For Fashion.

What has been your biggest challenge in achieving your success?

Educating women about the newfound ways was one big challenge amongst many others. But once women use our service they are our regular clients. The company has an excellent repeat-user percentage.

What has been your greatest achievement personally?

Building a useful product and solving that one big problem of ‘My closet is full yet I have nothing to wear’ makes me feel super proud.

If you weren’t doing what you do now, what would you be doing?

I would probably be busy loving my highflying lawyer life or running a cafe bar at a beach side.

Who has been your biggest inspiration?

Every woman who speaks her mind and has control over her life inspires me. Be it my business woman sister who is successfully running her salon chain I Love Hair Make Up for 19 years or my mother in law who is a home maker but speaks her mind and lives her life on her terms.

What does the future hold for you?

I wish to expand the reach of my brand across the country and make it one of the biggest rental chains in India. We are working to make RENT IT BAE the ios system for everyone’s wardrobe and you know “it needs an update” every now and then.
