Reetika Shah

I am a 30-year old working woman.  I have a master’s degree in Business Administration.  I also work as a yoga instructor as yoga is something which I’ve always been fascinated about. Yoga, for me, is part of my identity and I feel it completes me physically, mentally, and spiritually.

An average person spends a lot of time on the internet, scrolling through timelines, reading tweets, chatting with friends or playing online games. It may seem like a waste of time but our website https://www.efunearn.com rewards the user with the amount of money and time they spend on our website.

Users win available products just for their time spent online by collecting and redeeming Efunearn tokens. You can collect your own efunearn points with what you already do online and win your favourite products without spending a single penny.

Efunearn is a portal where users can experience all the three leading internet offerings (social networking, games and e-commerce) in one single platform.

At this moment we offer apparels and electronics in a limited range.

Our aim is to become the Number one networking site side in India with target audiences ranging across all age groups.

What drove you to become an Entrepreneur?

As a woman, I felt the need to do something on behalf of other women in my country.

The company was founded by my husband, Subodh Shah, an Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, graduate, with his batch-mate, Shailesh Singh. The idea of giving something back via the internet excited me and I decided to join forces with my husband and his partner.

Sonia Singh, (Shailesh’s wife), another Director in the firm, strengthened our belief to achieve the goals we set.

What has been your biggest challenge in achieving your success?

The competition is tough and introducing something like this which would appeal to people more than other networking sites is a challenge, but we are seeing it as an opportunity for our success.

What has been your greatest achievement so far?

Regarding efunearn, the biggest achievement so far has been the beta launch of the website. Around forty thousand pages have been viewed so far in a span of 30 days, but I’d rather say that the biggest is on the way.

Who has been your biggest inspiration?

Mother Teresa

How do you balance your work life and home life?

Being a mother of a three year-old kid and a part-time yoga instructor, it becomes a little difficult, but I feel blessed to have a co-operative husband and his partner. Also, my in-laws and parents have been supportive in all ways.

What advice do you have for women starting out on their own?

Work at your own pace and realise the potential that lies within each of you. Listen to the inner voice which will guide you throughout and never be defeated, for victory lies in never giving up.

Can you recommend any organisations or networking groups that have particularly helped you on your journey?

To be precise, all angel investors. We look forward to raising money to take our business forward.

If you could ask for one thing to help propel your business what would it be?

Spotlight! In order to gain a maximum user base. We want to reach a wide audience so that they get to know about this unique platform which involves earning while having fun!

What does the future hold for you?

As a team, we would like to see efunearn as India’s leading networking website. Personally, I would also love to see women in my country take inspiration and use their potential to bring about a change for good.

About Reetika Parmar Shah

I was born and brought up in Dehradun, the serene valley under the foothills of the Himalayas. I was fortunate enough to do my schooling from Dehradun which is known to be the best. I did my master’s in business administration. I moved to Bombay after getting married to Subodh Shah, the founder of efunearn.com.

Being a post graduate in business administration, I always had the desire and urge to establish myself in the corporate world. I worked with a few private organisations in HR but then my desire took me to do something for the sake of others. With a management degree in hand, I thought I could use my education, my husband’s talent, and my wish to help and uplift my career expectations. When my husband came up with the idea of efunearn, I was very impressed and felt that it was the right opportunity to do what I had been longing to do. Today I am the director of the Pvt Ltd company and I aim to take it to great heights. I believe the future of the company will be as big as my dream.
