Momzbizz.com; the story of a journey from Motherhood to Mompreneur. Two things you can easily guess from our name: we are moms and we have just plunged into being mompreneurs. We are a two member founding team – Madhavi Patil, an IT professional and Prachi Patankar, a product and graphic designer. Both left our blooming careers by choice to enjoy motherhood after a little angel dropped into our respective arms.
Why did you set up Mombizz?
Old habits die hard and we craved the need to have a work outlet which would in turn help moms like us who wish to do something else along with managing their family and raising their beautiful kids. After a lot of brainstorming we finally came up with the idea of having an online store where local businesses run by moms would get an entry into the global ecommerce world i.e. via Momzbizz.com. Well there is a saying that every nice piece of work needs the right person in the right place at the right time and so here it is and here we are!

Momzbizz.com was started on 10 May 2015 – Mother’s day. The drive is to fulfill dreams of thousands of moms like us who leave their careers to raise their kids the online retail store way. The drive is to make moms like us achieve success in the ecommerce world by giving their brands self-identity and by letting customers worldwide discover their fab products. At Momzbizz.com we basically showcase, promote and sell exclusive products from mompreneurs.
Our Moms’ local stores get a makeover in the ecommerce world and we make it about nothing else except the mompreneurs. Momzbizz is not about us, it’s really about all the moms in the world who make a business effort from the confines of their homes to help their family as well as to achieve financial independence for themselves.
What has been your biggest challenge in achieving your success?
We have just started and major challenges are yet to come.

What has been your greatest achievement so far?
We have many like-minded moms who are happy with our initiative. Also we are approached by female entrepreneurs to spread our wings and cater to them as well.

Ahh its tough but the hubbies help out a lot.
What advice do you have for women starting out on their own?
Don’t think too much just take the leap!
If you could ask for one thing to help propel your business what would it be?
We are looking out for someone who can help us with a financial aid to pass on all the hurdles.
What does the future hold for you?
Momzbizz.com is looking out for NGO’s who help women to be be self-dependant, so as to also showcase their products on our online portal. Also it will soon expand its wings and cater to all female entrepreneurs.
