November’s Culturama is a smorgasbord of delights. The cover features a painting by renowned artist Gautam Patole to celebrate the pan-Indian celebration of Diwali of ‘festival of lights’. As we count down to the day, we tell you about the ways in which it is celebrated across the subcontinent. We also celebrate Children’s Day on November 14 – set on this day as it is Jawaharlal Nehru’s birth anniversary. In line with this, the In Focus column talks about how India’s first Prime Minister had a special spot for young ones, and the many initiatives he put in place for them. The iRead segment features a list of books that are ideal for children of all ages.
