How long have you been in India?
What brought you to India?
My love for Yoga and the city of Auroville
What do you love most about being here?
The opportunities that India presents for personal and professional growth and exploration.
Are there any great moments that particularly stand out for you?
I think joining Auroville and seeing the great community atmosphere and to be part of something so special.
What have been your greatest integration challenges?
Language and cultural differences are always hard. Conducting business in a country where it is difficult to communicate and the language changes throughout the entire country is quite hard and it can be difficult to navigate. We employ local women from the villages surrounding us and having empathy for the different pressures needs and desires, and building structures into the working environment to accommodate for these, can be challenging. This is also one of the most rewarding parts of doing business in a country that is so different from my own.
Have there been any individuals or organisations who particularly helped with your move and integration?
Auroville is obviously the one that stands out here. There are many people that have individually been very supportive and I am always so humbled when people go out of there way to help and provide support of any kind.
Have you joined any networking groups?
Auroville provides a good network and the work we do with our business, such as working directly with farmers, provides us with an amazing and unique opportunity to interact and form good relationships.
