Inspirational Women: Zina & Zoya Singh | Founders of Terrible Two’s

Terrible Two's
Zina and Zoya Singh are twin sisters who passionately believe in connecting with people and cultures through art, fashion, design and creativity. Their interest in sports, reading, writing, photography, travel and performance arts helps them to be more driven and true to themselves. Zina does the writing and creating for ‘Terrible Two’s, while Zoya does the editing, digital marketing and art direction of the same. We help brands associate with a market through our portal and we create digital content for the same.

Terrible Two's

Tell us about yourself, your background and what you do currently

We run a fashion, lifestyle and culture portal, with a luxury-oriented market. We both studied in London and were attracted to diverse and various forms of art and expressions. Because of that, we started on this journey to keep us creatively satisfied and doing what we love.

Tell us about any current projects or initiatives you wish to promote

We want to focus on meaningful, quality projects that break the creative mould. We also want to encourage young girls and working women to follow their passions and become entrepreneurs, no matter how small.

What has been your biggest challenge in achieving your success?

There are so many similar blogs and portals that it has been difficult to reach out to our readers. We focus on high quality and don’t compromise, but there are others who have taken shortcuts and made the work look fast, cheap and easy. It’s also been hard to make money.

What has been your greatest achievement personally?

We just shot for Harpers Bazaar Arabia. It feels so good to have international recognition!

If you weren’t doing what you do now, what would you be doing?

We’d be creating furniture, art or running an Eco-resort on an island. Perhaps writing full time about travel.

Who has been your biggest inspiration?

Tina Brown, Elon Musk, Queen Rania and our mother, Simrita Arora who has supported us in everything.

What does the future hold for you?

Who knows! We wish to produce more authentic, hardworking and honest work. Hopefully we get more recognition internationally. We are expanding more into travel and lifestyle simultaneously.
