WeAreTheCity India, in association with the Thadomal Shahani Centre for Entrepreneurs (TSCFE), was delighted to welcome The High-Heeled Leader, Katie Day, to Mumbai for the latest Spotlight Series of inspirational speaker events on 11 July 2015.
Hosted by TSCFE Chairperson, Maya Shahani, and WATC Mumbai Committee Member, Anita Pawaskar, attendees enjoyed an interactive session delivered by Katie who demonstrated a number of communications styles and explained how to adapt style to different audiences to create the most effective message.
Speaking after the event, Katie Day, said: “Having worked in India previously I was aware of the power of Indian women in business. My talk for WeAreTheCity India in Mumbai not only confirmed my views but expanded them 10 fold! What a completely fabulous and magnificent group of women! The event was brilliantly orchestrated by WATC Chairs Jo Gaglani and Tejal Gandhi and I felt honoured to be amongst so many amazing women. My thanks to WeAreTheCity and to the Thadomal Shahani Centre for hosting our event.”
As with all WeAreTheCity events, the key note speaker was followed by the chance for members to network, as questions of the speaker and meet representatives from WATC India and TSCFE.

In 2004 Katie set up The High-heeled Leader company for professional women. Her clients include Morgan Stanley, Credit Suisse, Atkins Global, Citibank, Northern Trust, AXA, Kimberley Clark, Willis, AIG, The UK Ministry of Defence and Prison Service. The Thadomal Shahani Centre For Entrepreneurs (TSCFE) is a resource centre which promotes entrepreneurship in India.
