I am a Delhi Girl, working with India’s pride, Wockhardt Foundatin. Me and my teams are committed to making this world a better place for the poor and the needy. It is a very satisfying job and I am happy to be part of the Wockhardt family.
Tell us about any current projects you are working on
We have several projects, which include Bio toilets, children’s toy library khel khel main, and free primary healthcare facilities through mobile vans. We believe that everyone must make a difference and help the poorest of the poor. Our policy is: the poor don’t need pity, they need help.
What has been your biggest challenge in achieving your success?
I believe that challenges don’t exist. If one tries hard, with all his heart, God makes it easy. I have realised that nothing is impossible, and we at Wockhardt Foundation believe in working with all our heart and soul.
What has been your greatest achievement personally?
My biggest achievements have been everything that my family has achieved, as I am a very simple woman. In the achievements of my family, are my achievements. On the professional front, I was lucky to meet our founder Dr Huz and his commitment to the social cause impressed me greatly. My biggest achievement of my career would be that I met Dr Huz and was deeply inspired to continue to support the poor.
If you weren’t doing what you do now, what would you be doing?
This is a tough one. I never thought of doing anything else besides work for the Wockhardt foundation. But maybe, I would be a fashion designer!
Who has been your biggest inspiration?
My biggest inspiration is our leader Dr Huzaifa Khorakiwala. He is one in a million. He is a gem of a person and I wish there were more people like him. He is an icon and everyone can learn more than a few things from him.
What does the future hold for you?
The future is very bright. With each day I will be more committed to the social service cause and I hope to make a positive difference.
