  • Introduction: Tell us about yourself, your background and what you do currently?

I’m a writer, columnist primarily writing on Fitness. I am an international athlete and have represented India on the international platform four times – thrice in physique Sports and once in Powerlifting. I’m the brand ambassador of the CSR initiative running in India – FITINDIA CAMPAIGN.

I am a triple post graduate and have had a diverse career as a teacher, lecturer, event manager and finally an athlete and writer. I’m a commonwealth gold medallist in powerlifting. I’m a writer, fitness professional and brand promotion activist.

  • Tell us about any current projects or initiatives you wish to promote.

Currently I’m the brand ambassador of the Fitindia campaign, it’s a cause that is very close to my heart and I am also going to be involved with a few initiatives in the health and fitness sector itself. I’m a columnist with HT CITY, DAINIK BHASKAR, DB POST VIBE, DHARA NEWS and the editor of FITNESS GURU MAGAZINE. My journey has been widely published both in print media and on various electronic media, online portals, blogs etc .I have the FITNESS VIDEO SERIES with WOMENSERA.

  • What have been your national and international achievements?

I won five gold medals in equipped powerlifting – in overall powerlifting, I have represented India thrice in physique sports at the international platform- in world championship.

I won gold medal in 2015, 2016 in MS DELHI BODYBUILDING CHAMPIONSHIP.

I have also been referred amongst the most renowned and elite athletes of the country. I’m really grateful to God Almighty for this.

  • What has been your biggest challenge in achieving your success?

There have been many challenges and the toughest ones were to come out of the negativity, demotivation and toxicity around me. Also, there have been a lot of personal challenges that I faced in various stages of life. My education and my innate desire to excel and my persistent hard work has been my strength.

  • What has been your greatest achievement personally?

Honestly, I still feel that I have a long way to go. Yes, my education and reaching the international level and victory there makes me feel good. Also, as a brand ambassador of a national level campaign, my work got noticed and I got the opportunity to work in so many sectors – societies, PARA MILITARY FORCES, fitness enthusiasts, this is something that has given me a lot of  good experience, and something which I’m very grateful about.

  • Who has been your biggest inspiration?

Passion …..There have been many a people who have been truly inspirational ,and I can’t name any one here – there are too many of them actually. There is so much talent and amazing to see what all can one do and it’s really inspiring to see people doing so well in lives.

  • What does the future hold for you?

God knows the answer to this and I’m a strong believer in destiny.

About me

Well, there’s nothing much I can say about myself. I am a simple lady who only believes in working hard. I am a triple post graduate by education (MA -ENGLISH, M.ED,MBA), and have been constantly in pursuit of excellence .It gives me immense pleasure to share that I have been referred amongst the best fitness professionals in the country and amongst the fittest moms too. I am a certified fitness professional and an author too. It feels good to be seen as a woman of substance and an inspiration and I always tell everyone never to give up and also, If I can do it then anyone can.

Just believe in yourself and have the faith.

I changed my career from a teacher to a fitness professional almost after more than a decade of working, which I feel was a big step. However, I’m extremely grateful to God that I found my true calling. I’m married and have an 11 year old daughter. My husband is a businessman. ‘Children’ I feel are the biggest blessing in life. Being receptive to change and keenness to work hard and learn are the vital traits that one must have and this keeps you going.
