My foray in the corporate world began at an early age where I was exposed to the operations side of the Indian hospitality industry. It’s been a decade since my association with the Indian and International food and beverage retail market; I currently hold the position of Director at Massive Restaurants Pvt. Ltd. I have been actively involved in building Massive Restaurants and endeavour to elevate the position of Indian cuisine and placing Indian food on the global palate, permanently. Besides executing my role at Massive Restaurants, I have recently ventured as an independent entrepreneur with the launch of my mobile application – StyleHorn which endeavours to redefine the way we experience Fashion.

When I’m not busy executing professional commitments, I love to spend time with my kids and when possible, I enjoy indulging my family by cooking up a gourmet meal, which helps me relax while I’m trying to balance between home, family & work.

Tell us about yourself, your background and what you do currently

I was born, brought up and educated in Chandigarh and have completed my Masters in Mass Communication from Punjab University. My foray in the corporate world began at an early age when I got exposed to the operational side of the Indian hospitality industry. As part of the core board of the origanisation, I have been instrumental in the set up and day-to-day management of the critically acclaimed, multi-award winning culinary concepts under the Massive Restaurants Group, while simultaneously helming my recently launched personal venture – StyleHorn.

Tell us about any current projects or initiatives you wish to promote

I am actively involved in the operations of my recently launched ventured – StyleHorn along with being involved in building brands, like Masala Library by Jiggs Kalra, Farzi Café, Pa Pa Ya, Made in Punjab and MasalaBar, that operate under the Massive Restaurants Group umbrella. While StyleHorn is quickly catching up as a dedicated fashion platform to showcase one’s style statement along with keeping a track on what’s latest in the field of fashion, at Massive Restaurants we are in the process of our second round of expansion under which we have already launched nine locations across five brands in India and overseas with three more in the pipeline to open by end of this year.

What has been your biggest challenge in achieving your success?

While having been associated with the hospitality field for over a decade, mostly I’ve been working behind the scenes, balancing work and family life, which hasn’t been an easy task. Having said that, with the recent launch of my personal venture StyleHorn and having taken over a larger role at Massive Restaurants, not only has been rewarding but also brought forth newer challenges everyday, making it quite a learning experience. Though I still have not reached the stage that I had set for myself and have many milestones to accomplish, both in my personal and professional life, I feel that the new roles and challenges are helping me get closer to them with each passing day.

What has been your greatest achievement personally?

Apart from the birth of my kids, I consider the launch of my personal venture – StyleHorn as a milestone in my professional life.

If you weren’t doing what you do now, what would you be doing?

Reflecting on my decade long association with Indian and International food and beverage retail market, and Massive Restaurants, my whole perception about life has changed. I’ve been so closely associated with the Indian hospitality space and my independent venture, that it’s hard to fathom myself doing anything else.

Who has been your biggest inspiration?

Undoubtedly my husband, Zorawar. He has an aggressive zeal of pursuing and accomplishing all that he sets his mind to. His go-getter, super positive attitude towards life has made him the achiever that the world recognises as the ‘the Prince of Indian cuisine’, and he truly makes me believe that nothing is impossible. His passion and drive are truly infectious and an inspiration.

What does the future hold for you?

With the launch of StyleHorn and the accelerated expansion of the brands under Massive Restaurants, both in India and globally, the future surely holds the promise of many new projects and the accomplishment of many a milestones for both ventures.
