Have a Happy Eco Holi!

Bhavi_ModyLet’s work towards a Safe and Eco- Friendly Holi!

HOLI HAI…………
RANG BARSE…….
BUT NO BHEEGI CHUNARVALI….
SAVE WATER. GO GREEN THIS HOLI

Holi tips!
  • Use natural, herbal and skin friendly colours. You can make them at home too. Flowers are wonderful – a floral holi would be an innovative concept loved by all
  • If you intend playing with colours, protect your skin and hair. Apply a thick layer of oil cream on your skin. Oil your hair well
  • Wear clothes that cover your body. This prevents the colours from coming in contact with the skin. Cover your head with a bandana or scarf
  • Use more of Gulal and Abil to play Holi. Avoid the bright, dark colours that are loaded with chemicals
  • To protect your teeth you may wear dental caps
  • When anyone throws colour on you, close your eyes and mouth tight. This prevents colour from entering eyes and mouth. If the colour does enter your eyes wash them immediately and gargle well. If irritation persists seek medical attention

Keep your kids safe this Holi!
  • Ensure kids use natural, herbal and skin friendly colours
  • Protect their skin and hair too in the same way as for you
  • If the floor is wet, see that your kids are not jumping or running on it to avoid falls and accidents
  • Discourage your children to play Holi with eggs, mud or gutter water. Never turn a blind eye to such unclean ways of celebration
  • Teach your children to respect other’s independence during Holi

Have a Green, Eco friendly Holi!
  • Using natural colours is one of the ways to save water too, as it does not require much water to remove the colours
  • Eco friendly holi saves nature for sure, but also saves you from the harmful effects of the chemicals
  • Avoid use of plastic bags and balloons filled with water as it creates a lot of garbage and also the remains of these pollute the environment
  • Save water. It is the spirit of holi that matters. You can have as much fun playing dry Holi as you do when you play with water
  • It is the duty and responsibility of one and all to celebrate an eco-friendly Holi and save Nature
