Tell us about your journey of becoming an entrepreneur.

Aarti (dressed in yellow) standing smiling next to a bearded man dressed in blackBoth my parents have been into services all their life. My mother works in the healthcare department and my dad used to work in the telecom deptartment. Entrepreneurship as a way of life had never occured to me till the time I joined IIT Roorkee.

Roorkee is the place where my perspective towards life changed completely. My closest set of friends in college were coming from business backgrounds. We always used to discuss business ideas, the desire to build something valuable started in the college days. But I was never able to start something for the next four years, till the time I went to France to do my MBA at INSEAD.

I came back to India to give wings to my dreams – create a healthier and fitter world!

Tell us about the company you have set up?

FitCircle Logo - A blue F surrounded by a blue circle FitCircle was started with the vision to enable every human’s quest of living a healthy life. FitCircle is a chat based, fitness community where people can get expert consultations for free on nutrition and workouts. We give the motivators or health leaders the tools to keep their community engaged digitally.

We are the first company in India to use chat bots as a way to make people healthy. Our chat bots are available on Whatsapp, Slack and on FitCircle Android App.

We believe in the power of technology, innovation and communities to impact millions of people across the globe.

What has been your biggest challenge in achieving your success?

That’s a tough one. Let me tell you we are a breed of mad people! We love challenges – everyday there has to be a new challenge, a new puzzle to solve.

What does your normal day begins with? And what motivates you to keep going?

First thing I like to do is to check my inbox and read some news as soon as I get up. On a few days, I go out for a run or if I am getting late – I do some quick HIIT workouts from FitCircle App.

After getting ready, I have a good and healthy breakfast. That’s something I can’t start my day without. The day then goes with the team or in calls or meetings. I try to make the most out of my Sundays. So, recently have started going on short treks near Mumbai.

My team loves to celebrate small wins – if a technology team member launches a new feature, a new sales member team cracks the leads, an expert gets a great review – we celebrate all that and these small wins keeps each one of us motivated in the team because we love what we are building at FitCircle!
