Do it yourself hair care packs | Gunjan Mittal

Women getting her hair brushedHair is one of the most important part of a women’s beauty and we constantly keep damaging our hair by using heat, chemicals and hair treatments.

There are things we can do at home to reverse the damage that we cause on a daily basis. Apart from regular hair massages and eating healthily, you should also provide some extra nutrition to your hair.

Below are a few hair packs that you can make at home. They are really easy to use and very effective. I have been using these packs for the past few weeks and they have done wonders to my hair!

Egg and Yoghurt

Hair is mainly made of proteins. Eggs are also known to be effective in moisturising the hair and also helps in cleansing the scalp. Mix one egg with 4/5 spoons of yoghurt and apply it on your hair from the roots to the entire length of the hair. Keep this pack for 30 mins and then wash it off with regular shampoo and conditioner.

Banana, Honey and Olive Oil

Mix one ripe banana with a few spoons of honey and olive oil. Apply it on your hair from the roots to the complete length. Keep it on for 30 mins. Wash it off with shampoo and conditioner. This pack restores the moisture that is lost because of the dry weather.

Egg Mayonnaise

Mix mayonnaise and egg white in equal portions. Apply it to your hair for 30 mins. Wash it off with shampoo and conditioner. This pack keeps the frizz at bay!

Coconut Milk Hair Treatment

Apply coconut milk to the roots of your hair. Massage it well. Leave it overnight and wash it with shampoo and conditioner. Coconut milk is very rich in protein and helps nourish your hair.

Egg, Honey and Olive Oil

Mix egg with a few spoons of honey and olive oil (you can use almond oil as well). Apply it for 30 mins. Wash it off with shampoo and conditioner. This enhances the shine of your hair and adds moisture to dry hair.

These are some of the most effective as well as time tested remedies that will help you fight some of the most common and serious issues related with hair. However, don’t forget that along with these external applications, internal caring is very necessary too. Eat protein rich food like carrots, mango, sprouts, whole grains, leafy vegetables and dried apricots to strengthen your hair from the roots. Include them in your regular diet for the better results.

These hair packs has helped me and my friends. They are particularly good if you have been having bad hair days and they will make you look like a Goddess!! A Goddess that you are!
