A first-of-its kind culinary discovery event platform, featuring 42 of India’s finest informal dining restaurants, offering prix fixe menus at a fraction of a la carte rates.
1st August, 2016, Bangalore / Delhi / Mumbai: Cellar Door Hospitality today announced the August edition of DineFest, a bi-annual 10-day culinary event platform featuring curated three-course dining experiences at a fraction of a la carte rates across 42 of India’s finest informal dining restaurants. To be held between Friday, 12th and Sunday, 21st August 2016, the event will run simultaneously across Bangalore, Delhi (including Gurgaon) and Mumbai, where the event was last held in February 2016, catering to over 2,200 diners.
Drawing inspiration from Restaurant Week – India’s largest fine dining event – DineFest focuses on the finest informal dining experiences, featuring three-course prix fixe menus at a fraction of a la carte rates. Both lunch and dinner (with ample vegetarian and non-vegetarian options) will be offered at INR 500++ in Bangalore and INR 600++ in Delhi, & Mumbai. The pricing stated is per individual, exclusive of applicable taxes, service charges as well as beverages or dishes ordered outside of the special DineFest menu.
General reservations begin from Monday, 8th August, 2016, exclusively through the DineFest website (www.dinefest.in), with lunch as well as two dinner seatings available throughout the 10 days. Reservations will be secured by paying an INR 50 booking fee online per person.
DineFest was piloted in October 2015 featuring 30 restaurants across Mumbai and Delhi with 2,111 diners participating and over 900 reservations made. The property was created to shadow the explosive growth in the urban informal dining segment and features 10-20 restaurants per participating city with a refreshed participation list each round. By the end of 2017, DineFest will have expanded to 2 more cities with 70+ participating restaurants.

The August event will allow discerning diners the chance to discover as well as experience dining at restaurants they may not be familiar with and will feature some new restaurants compared to the last round” Nachiket Shetye, co-founder of Cellar Door Hospitality.
Zomato will be the online partner for the event. They will be displaying a DineFest Collection and will be offering online ordering of the DineFest menu for select participating restaurants in Bangalore, Delhi and Mumbai on their mobile app and website. The DineFest Collection on Zomato will feature all participating restaurants in each city, enabling diners to browse and discover great dining options. The Online Ordering option facilitated through Zomato will mark the first time that a Cellar Door experience will be available for home delivery. This will allow diners to experience curated three course prix-fixe menus at a fraction of a la carte rates in the comfort of their homes.
