Set up in 2003 by Gwen Rhys, Women in the City has developed organically to become an organization that promotes, recognizes and rewards female talent.
Its Woman of Achievement Award recognizes senior and partner level women who are actively supporting the progress of females in their organization and sector whilst its Future Leaders Award identifies high potential women at the transition between management and leadership. Its Annual Lunch is one of the City’s signature events and brings together over 350 women and men in November each year. In 2013, to mark its 10th Anniversary, Women in the City published Project Diamond: bringing brilliance to business – a career handbook with supplements, and introduced a Membership scheme.
